I saw:
Smashing Pumpkins
Beastie Boys
George Clinton
Breeders
Trible Called Quest
Pharcyde
Stereolab (on the small stage)
I remember that Smashing Pumpkins played "Starla" during their encore and no one around me recognized it.

Kristin Hersh - Starfish Room
I saw Kristin Hersh at the Starfish Room during her solo tour. Brilliant acoustic music representative of her work outside of the Throwing Muses. Especially interesting were her many anecdotes about her life and her young son.

James - Commodore Ballroom
I went with David as his +1 on the guest list. I remember that he had to go up on stage to represent the radio station and introduce James. Great show!

Big Country - Town Pump
Big Country is considered to be a one-hit wonder in North America, with their big hit being "In a Big Country" from the 1983 album "The Crossing." However, they had always managed to maintain a strong following in the U.K., and had continued to record and tour. By 1993, Big Country was performing in small clubs such as the Town Pump in Vancouver, in front of die-hard fans who had continued to appreciate their distinctive sound.
Their show was amazing! Wow! The thing that struck me the most was that all of the band members were just so genuinely happy to be there and to be performing for the appreciative audience. There was no attitude or sense of entitlement. Just performers and fans bonding over a shared love of the great music.
