Throwing Muses/Tanya Donelly - Aladdin Theater

I first saw the Throwing Muses 25 years ago, opening for New Order. Back then, Tanya Donelly was still a member of the band. When I learned that Tanya would be the Special Guest for this show, I was excited by the possibility that she would join the band for at least a few songs. I was not disappointed. It was wonderful to see Kristin and Tanya on stage together, if only for a handful of songs.

Tanya's opening set included Belly songs such as "Red" and "Low Red Moon/Dusted," as well as Muses tracks such as "Honeychain" and "Not Too Soon." I was surprised that she chose to include Muses songs in the opening set, but they were definitely crowd-pleasers. I was just happy that I was getting to see her perform again.
